Connected Interactive: Website

At Connected Interactive, I was the sole UI UX Designer for our Web Application, Website, and Marketing designs. I developed the website using WordPress as CMS.

Connected Interactive is an advertising and marketing technology company founded in 2012 to connect people with high quality digital marketing application and strategy. I was responsible for the redesign of the company’s website from design to development using WordPress, organizing content with the president of the company, and creating graphics and illustrations.

The Problem

The previous website was poorly organized with a large number of disorganized pages that were added haphazardly. From an information architecture perspective, the website pages were added by different people without a clear hierarchy or theme. As a result, the website was confusing, with inconsistent graphic designs and text. When visiting the website, it was difficult to understand what the company does or what services they offer.

This was the hierarchy and navigational pages of the website.

I had noticed that the previous website had a number of pages that were added without a clear organizational structure. This made it difficult for visitors to navigate and understand the company’s business and services. The goal for the website is improved the website by implementing a more coherent information architecture and design, so that visitors can easily find what they’re looking for and learn more about the company.

This is my revised structure of the website. The goal was to make it simple, clean and easy to navigate and understand the services and business goals of the company.

Structuring the Content

After analyzing the pages and presenting the architecture with the stakeholders in the company, my next task was to structure each pages of the website.

Final wireframe of the website that I proposed with the company’s stakeholders.

To begin the wireframing process, I used a variety of techniques such as sketching and card sorting to determine the structure and organization of each page. I also utilized Excel to plan and strategize the content for each page, ensuring that our stakeholders’ information was accurately conveyed and the user experience was optimal. These methods helped me to effectively categorize and present the elements of each page in a way that effectively tells the story of the website.

Visual Design

Fonts and Color scheme of the company.

Connected Interactive already has a strong established branding, so my goal was to enhance and refresh the look and feel of the website and web application while staying true to the company’s current colours and fonts. To achieve this, I incorporated gradients to create depth and a 3D effect on the graphics and backgrounds. This helped to modernize the overall aesthetic while maintaining the company’s brand identity.

These are some of the graphics I created for the website.
